Pier 57 is a landmark waterfront destination celebrating Culture, History, and Innovation. The revitalized historic structure will serve as the urban gathering place for Hudson River Park, West Chelsea, and the Meatpacking District.


The programming will create a unique neighbourhood destination, attractive to the city and region as a whole, where the city's extraordinary maritime history and artistic energy can be experienced in the context of a vibrant public marketplace.


Visitors can get down to the water's edge of boating, or catch a night time rooftop film screening, where multiple kinds of experience will be integrated to the maximum extent possible, rather than creating separate spaces for "art", "education", "retail", "entertainment" and "open space".
