DFW Airport Media Space Design

It hangs on a ceiling which holds about 120~140, 46" transparent LCDs in an abstract organic shape of a mesh frame. This organic shape speaks the nature concept of Samsung design products.

Located halfway between the cities of Dallas and Fort Worth, Texas, DFW International Airport is the world's fourth busiest, offering 1,900 flights per day and serving 58 million passengers a year. 


For the DFW International Airport renovation Miny Designworks proposed a digital landmark sculpture and other services, which features dramatic advance for passengers including new and improved smart facilities such as real-time flight information, smart charging station, TV stand, TV mount, comfort zone, theatre area, video wall, kiosk, media floor,  interactive media wall, smart moving walk and etc.


The Hanging Media

It is a kinetic art form of transparent mesh sculpture using cutting edge technology. It hangs on a ceiling which holds about 120~140, 46" transparent LCDs in an abstract organic shape of a mesh frame. This organic shape speaks the nature concept of Samsung design products.


It is aesthetically pleasing and eye-catching with an underlying emphasis on human and nature. In addition, LCDs set on flooring simultaneously product images that will maximize the effect of the overall experience. Its goal is to set an effective and differentiating marketing scheme for the Samsung brand adding artistic and sensual dimensions to its products, as well as adding a new Wow to the DFW (Dallas Forth Worth) Airport.
